Quality Improvement in Health care
Quality is defined as doing the right thing (getting the health care services you need), at the right time (when you need it), in the right way (using the appropriate procedure), to achieve the best possible results.
The institute of Medicine defines Quality as:
“The degree to which health care services for individuals and populations increase the probability of desired health outcomes and are consistent with current professional knowledge of best practice.”
